Having meeting till 2:15pm this afternoon. As I still got some time before my next appointment, I went to the exhibition and browse for a bit. Shirley called me around 2:45pm and told me she will be arriving in 20 minutes. She’s not so familiar with the area plus I gave her incorrect direction, I didn’t get to see her till 4pm. We then went to a shopping outlet, sat down at an ice-cream café and chat. I didn’t have a chance to meet Shirley since I graduate from RPI, it’s been 5 years since the last time we met. We talked about a lot of stuff, habit, career, life etc. Before we leave, I make sure I take picture with her, coz I’m not sure when will be the next time we will meet each other. After Shirley drop me back at the hotel, I then go out to dinner with Fen. As the buffet that we planned to go originally is out of walking distance, we pick a restaurant nearby for our dinner. We have pizza and it taste good. Just like Shirley, I’m not sure when Fen and I will be able to meet each other in the future. It’s always so happy when people get together and it’s so hard when we need to leave each other.

Most people love travelling in their spare time. My family does too. One of the Most Humorous experience I have had while on vacation is about three years ago, which is the year of my 20th birthday. Most of my friends went to Los-Angeles together. During the vacation, each of us acts as a character in one of our favorite movie movies - “The Star War”. The journey is full of laughs and screams. We have taken a lot of photos and these photos have already been part of our sweetest memory now.

Tonight is the last class for Educational Psychology. When I arrived at the classroom, there is no one there. Just when I wanted to leave, one of my classmates came in, she asked me whether we have class tonight as no one was there. I then asked her how’s the presentations went last week since I’m absent for class, she told me everyone being scheduled last week was able to finish their presentation. As we were talking, our professor came in. Some of the presentations tonight were very interesting and creative. As for mine, it’s PowerPoint as usual. Be tonight, I’m extremely nervous, hence my presentation has a lot of stop and pause. Too bad! To me, the most valuable thing in this class is the sharing of teaching experience between classmates. However, the biggest drawback for this class is the instructor……I don’t really want to say this, but she didn’t even cover half the materials on the syllabus. We read the teach book ourselves and work on case studies. She talked about out of topic stuff most of the class time and she didn’t give much feedback on homework. When chatting with my classmates, most of them think this class waste their time.

As for many parents, the busiest season arrives quickly because the school season is right around the corner. Till now I still remember my mum helped me to get everything organized when I was a little girl. Now when I grow up and have kids of myself, I get to know how important it is to make sure everything is ready for my kids.

This morning, I led a training session for 6 of the librarians in our department. Basically, I introduced them with the basic features of Trillian. The whole presentation is around 20 minutes, as what I expected. But what I didn’t expect is the questions raised by my colleagues. Half an hour before the training session, I went to the library instruction classroom and practice for awhile. At that moment, it reminded me about the day that I did my presentation for this position. Time past by quickly, instead of an interviewee, I’m an employee now. After I finished the lunch, I felt asleep for half an hour. I usually don’t take nap in the afternoon, but probably I didn’t sleep well last night. I stopped at the desk around 3pm, when Julie is still at the desk. She asked me whether I’m going to work on the desk for 7 hours today, and I told her yes. When I promise Feng that I can exchange night shift with him, I didn’t recognize that I need to work a straight 7 hours desk shift. And what’s worst, there is no time for dinner in between. However, since I promised him, I can’t change my mind. Julie is a very nice person, she asked me if I need to take a break till 5pm, she will substitute 2 hours for me. I thank for her offer, but I think I’m ok. Then, Julie asked me if I need to work like that for the rest of the year and I told her probably two more weeks. After checking on her own schedule, she told me that she can exchange the night shift with Feng, hence I don’t need to work 7 hours on the desk anymore. That’s really great! I felt hungry around 6pm, so I went back to my office and grab a few biscuit to eat. Probably after I go home tonight, I need to cook some noodle for my late dinner before I go to sleep.

Today seems not a good day for me. After I woke up this morning, I got my milk. But unlucky, the milk got spoiled already; though it said it will expire on October 1. I wonder if that is because the temperature for my refrigerator is not low enough, so I turned down the temperate. As a result, I skip my breakfast and went to work. Just right after I logged in MSN, I forgot to remind Wolf to disable MSN before his presentation; not sure if he will remember that. I started to work for half and hour and I rushed to SAC (student union) for a workshop. Though I’m supposed to be late, I didn’t see anyone there. I asked the guy in the office and he said the room didn’t have anything scheduled, and he helped me to call someone to ask about that. He didn’t reach that person, but he said he will get back to me after he got an answer. When I am still wondering what happened, I decided to check my email again. Gosh! The workshop will be held on October 28, a month later. What happened to me today… I started to work on some web stuff and then the slide for tomorrow’s presentation. At 1:30pm, I went up to the staff lounge and get ready for the b-day party. The party is ok, and people seem to like my ice-cream. However, I found out later that I can’t reimburse the money that I used to buy ice-cream. When the party is done, it’s already 2:45pm. While I started to read some papers, I remembered that I need to set up stuff for presentation tomorrow, so I went to the BI room. I also practice my presentation a little bit, and it’s too short, it just took 10 minutes. Sigh, I need to add more stuff in.
